The Caulfield Cup is a Group 1 event held annually at Caulfield racecourse late October each year as part of the Melbourne Spring Carnival.

It is one of Australia's richest races with $2.5 million in prize money up for grabs. It is also regarded as one of the world's richest handicap races over a distance of 2400 metres. The race combines with the Melbourne Cup to form the 'Major Cups Double' with betting on the double hugely popular.

The Caulfield Cup has been won by some of the lands greatest ever horses, the most notable being Railings, Mummify, Northerly, Ethereal, Diatribe, Sky Heights, Might And Power and Let's Elope.
