The 2009 Summoned Stakes was taken out by the D L Freedman trained Dane Julia (SAF) from barrier 5, carrying 56.5kg in weight. Dane Julia (SAF), a 6yo mare was ridden by D Dunn and won the race .4 lengths ahead of the second placed Rose Syrah, who carried 55.5 from barrier 9. Then followed Amberino in third spot .1 lengths behind, carrying 56.5. Dane Julia (SAF) won at odds of 9.00.
