2009 Vain Stakes Result
The 2009 Vain Stakes was taken out by the L J Corstens trained Starspangledbanner from barrier 8, carrying 56.5kg in weight. Starspangledbanner, a 3yo colt was ridden by D Nikolic and won the race 2.5 lengths ahead of the second placed Eclair Fastpass, who carried 54.0 from barrier 6. Then followed Djatala in third spot 1.3 lengths behind, carrying 54.0. Starspangledbanner won at odds of 2.75.
