The 2009 Kindergarten Stakes was taken out by the J A O'Shea trained Wanted from barrier 4, carrying 56.5kg in weight. Wanted, a 2yo colt was ridden by J A Cassidy and won the race .1 lengths ahead of the second placed Purdey, who carried 56.5 from barrier 5. Then followed Our Joan Of Arc in third spot 1.5 lengths behind, carrying 54.5. Wanted won at odds of 3.75.
