The 2009 Lee Steere Stakes was taken out by the J P Taylor trained Idyllic Prince from barrier 5, carrying 59.0kg in weight. Idyllic Prince, a 7yo gelding was ridden by J Brown and won the race .1 lengths ahead of the second placed Tarzi, who carried 59.0 from barrier 8. Then followed Spirited One in third spot .2 lengths behind, carrying 57.0. Idyllic Prince won at odds of 3.50.
