The 2009 Phar Lap Stakes was taken out by the M G Price trained Heart Of Dreams from barrier 7, carrying 56.5kg in weight. Heart Of Dreams, a 3yo gelding was ridden by D Oliver and won the race .2 lengths ahead of the second placed Whobegotyou, who carried 56.5 from barrier 13. Then followed Predatory Pricer in third spot .5 lengths behind, carrying 56.5. Heart Of Dreams won at odds of 3.50.
