The 2009 Queensland Guineas was taken out by the R G Lipp trained Express Air from barrier 10, carrying 54.0kg in weight. Express Air, a 3yo Filly was ridden by Craig Williams and won the race 1.5 lengths ahead of the second placed Marveen, who carried 54.0 from barrier 2. Then followed La Etoile (NZ) in third spot 1.8 lengths behind, carrying 54.0. Express Air won at odds of 13.00.
