The 2009 Sir Byrne Hart Stakes was taken out by the M J Mair trained Swiss Ace from barrier 4, carrying 58.5kg in weight. Swiss Ace, a 4yo horse was ridden by K Pope and won the race 1 lengths ahead of the second placed Sniper's Bullet, who carried 58.5 from barrier 8. Then followed Red Element in third spot 1.3 lengths behind, carrying 58.5. Swiss Ace won at odds of 1.50.
