Our unique Racing Zone Ratings take into account many different aspects of a runner, including form at the course, form on the ground, form in better races, prize money won and even more (we're not going to give everything away!).
Below we'll explain how to use our ratings so you can find the best value in the races you're looking at.
Take a look at the form guide below from Randwick on April 9th.

What we look for with the ratings is a horse that has a higher rating than it should have, according to it's price.
So in the example above you can see that OLDER THAN TIME has the highest rating in the race, but is favourite. We're looking for value though, so we look at the next rated horse, which is ONCE WERE WILD. It's rating is almost as good as the top rated horse, but it's price is much bigger. This means it's definately value.
Based on this, other horses you might select are SPEED GIFTED, SHOWCAUSE and ANUDJAWUN. We'd suggest using the ratings to narrow down your selections before using other aspects of the horse's form to narrow down even further.
We find that looking at the average prize money won, races won percentage, and races placed percentage usually gives a very good indication of a horse's chances in the race. Based on this, you might also choose to back C'EST LA GUERRE, who's average prize money won per race is almost twice that of the next runner.
In the case above, the result was 1. Once Were Wild 2. Anudjawun 3. C'est La Guerre, with the trifecta paying $700!
Remember, you don't need to bet in every race! The ratings won't pull out winners all the time, but if you're patient and wait for a standout price, you will get some very nice priced placed and even winning horses.
Good Luck!
