Black Flash was a winner of 26 of his 35 races, including 11 group ones. These included the Caulfield Guineas, Caulfield Stakes (twice), Mackinnon Stakes, Chipping Norton, George Ryder, CF Orr, Queen Elizabeth, and George Main Stakes.
Lonhro amassed an incredible $5.7M in prizemoney in an era where there was a lot less money about. Retired to stud in 2004, and inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame in 2014, he remains prominent in the memories of racing fans.
