Moonee Valley Racing Club’s head of racing, Charlotte Mills, expressed enthusiasm for this new development, emphasising the exceptional quality of the Juddmonte International winner, who will undoubtedly prove worthy of competing in the 2023 Cox Plate.
“We’re very keen to continue our great association with York Racecourse, and undoubtedly the winner of this year’s race will be more than worthy of a berth in the 2023 Ladbrokes Cox Plate,” said Mills.
The Juddmonte International Stakes, held at York Racecourse, is a renowned 2000-meter weight-for-age race that has been captivating racing enthusiasts since its inception in 1972.
With a rich history of attracting top-tier competitors and producing exceptional performances, the race has seen remarkable thoroughbreds like Baaeed, Ghaiyyath, Roaring Lion, Sea The Stars, and Frankel grace its track.
