Looking for those new season youngsters to bloom on The Rosebud Day

Posted by RS NewsWire at 12:49pm on August 7th

Some really interesting new season 3yos will feature in the Listed The Rosebud (1100m) at Rosehill on Saturday.

Cigar Flick ($3.50 unibet) has clearly been targeted to be up and running early chasing black type following her win a month back.

Then there is Barber ($6) who contested both the Blue Diamond and the Golden Slipper and he’s had two trials to be ready for this.

Estriella ($4.50) looked very good in defeat two weeks back and The Instructor ($4.50) will be trying to maintain that great run of form that Tulloch Lodge had last season with those of his generation.

His stablemate Introducing ($8) returns as does Fire Lane ($15) who contested the Magic Millions and Golden Slipper lead ups.

Some other interesting horses nominated on the card include G1 winner Madame Pommery in the Spring Preview Handicap (1400m) alongside Pericles who was touched off in the Rosehill Guineas.

James HB Carr Stakes winner Olentia has trialled well as has another Waller horse Extremely Lucky in what would be his first run for the yard.
