Last Spring G1s in Melbourne at Caulfield for G1 Thousand Guineas day

A great Spring carnival of Group 1 racing ends at Caulfield with the running of the Thousand Guineas and the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes this weekend.
With the decision taken to alter the placement of the G1 Thousand Guineas (1600m), the race takes excellent shape. Skybird ($3.50) tries to stay unbeaten but has plenty of opposition from Kimochi ($13) who deserves a win and Joliestar ($9) out of the same race.
A highly competitive G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) will probably contain a capacity field and plenty of hopes. Buenos Noches ($6.50) could well back up against quality mares such as I Am Me ($8.50) and Magic Time ($3.60) who leads the market with betting sites.
The 3yos are also running in the moved G3 Blue Sapphire Stakes (1400m). Arkansaw Kid ($4.50) comes off a top run in the Coolmore and could meet the likes of Brave Mead ($3.50) and Snapback ($7).
Another fillies race on the card is the G3 Thoroughbred Club Stakes (1200m) and Saltaire ($4) along with Commemorative ($3) try to bounce back.
Yet another feature for the females is the G3 How Now Stakes (1200m) and She Dances ($2.50) has been in top form. She could well have Queen Of The Ball ($4) for company here.
