Promising 2YO's nominated for the BJ McLachlan Stakes

Following a remarkable and historic weekend of racing, things quieten a little before Christmas but it still doesn’t mean there aren’t important Magic Millions focus races.

It won’t be a big field in the BJ McLachlan Stakes (1200m) for the 2yos but some nice ones are nominated. Storm Boy ($1.45) is the current favourite with online bookmakers for the big one on the Gold Coast and naturally he is here as well. With his pedigree there will be interest around Customized ($14) and also the unbeaten Astapor ($5.50).

In the Listed Bernborough Plate (1600m), the locals will be facing several interstate challengers like Acquitted, Ita and Tazaral.

Open sprinters with hopes for Southport can run in the Listed Falvelon (1200m). In form horses likes Nettuno, Spacewalk and Zarastro are entered plus the G2 winner 3yo Chrysaor.

Races around the land in age races or benchmark company will also contain many a Magic Millions contender going forward.
