Lindsay Park to split 2YO’s at Caulfield

The Lindsay Park team of Ben, Will & J D Hayes are expected to rely on only one of their horses in a two-year-old race at Caulfield.
Just For Show is likely to be the stable’s sole representative in the Catanach’s Jewellers Handicap (1100m) on Saturday.
The Lindsay Park team also accepted with debutant Thats Archies Girl in the race, but she is also an acceptor for the Group 3 David Coles AM Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville.
Ben Hayes said the preferred option was to send Thats Archies Girl to Adelaide to contest the Stakes race in which Jamie Kah has been booked for the ride on the filly.
“She’s a debutant that has trialled up well,” Hayes said.
“She’s dual accepted over in Adelaide as well and that’s the way we look like we’ll be heading.
“It’s a Group 3 race. She’s shown us nice ability so far and we’ve got Jamie Kah to ride her.
“We like her, she’s done everything right and we’ve got a good enough opinion of her to run in her in a Stakes race on debut.”
Just For Show has raced once previously, finishing third Perspiration and Snack Bar at Mornington on April 20 after racing handy in the small field.
Snack Bar has since gone on to confirm the form by scoring at Caulfield last Saturday.
Hayes said Just For Show had shown natural improvement from his debut showing.
“We’ve gone and put the winkers on him and with natural improvement I think he will be competitive,” Hayes said.
“I thought it was a very good run on debut and the form out of that run is strong.
“He’s a genuine top three chance in that sort of race.”
Harry Coffey takes over in the saddle with Daniel Stackhouse Adelaide bound for the Group 1 meeting at Morphettville.
