Lindsay Park aim to split two-year-olds

The Lindsay Park team of Ben, Will and J D Hayes would like to separate their pair of two-year-olds they have engaged at Flemington.
Jenni’s Meadow and Dreamwriter are both engaged to contest the RDA Peninsula Jenny Stidston Sprint (1200m) on Saturday with Dreamwriter also an acceptor for the 2YO Maiden Plate (1200m) at Geelong on Thursday.
Will Hayes said the stable’s intention was to start Dreamwriter at Geelong on Thursday for which the filly is fourth emergency.
“If she gets a run at Geelong, she’ll probably run there,” Hayes said.
“You can’t fault the form around her. Wherever she goes, she’ll be competitive.”
Dreamwriter has run second at both her starts to date, being beaten by Angel Capital on debut at Cranbourne and then behind last week’s Caulfield winner Interest Point at Mornington.
Jenni’s Meadow will be lining up for the second start of her campaign having finished fourth first-up over 1000m at Sandown last month.
A debut winner at Moonee Valley in December, Jenni’s Meadow made her way to the Gold Coast to contest the Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) in January, finishing eighth behind Storm Boy.
Hayes said the 1200m on Saturday will suit Jenni’s Meadow after she found the 1000m journey too short when resuming.
“We were very happy with her first-up run at Sandown and second-up, slightly out in distance, it should suit her,” Hayes said.
“Over the 1000 metres, there was a couple that were a bit sharp for her. She was well-ridden by Declan to be in her comfort zone, but the last 100 metres was her most impressive part of her race.
“Most importantly, she pulled up super and we’re happy with how she has trained on.
“She’s a talented filly and we’ve always had a nice opinion of her, and we think she’s well placed on Saturday.”
