Atishu sibling to run at Flemington
After a solid break and consistent preparation, Dream All Day returns to Flemington in benchmark 78 company over 1400m, aiming to live up to the expectations that come with being a sister to Atishu. Trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr, she holds a strong record of two wins and five placings from seven starts and has not been seen since a third at the same track back in January. With her pedigree and form, connections are confident of a strong showing first-up.
“She’s prepped up good,” said Kent Jnr, who highlighted her enjoyment of beach work and solid jump-out performance against Group 2 winner Zloties. Though admitting she may be a touch vulnerable fresh, Kent sees plenty of upside this campaign, especially if allowed to settle and use her closing burst. Apprentice Luke Cartwright, who will take 3kg off her 56kg, is booked to ride. Looking ahead, “2000 metres should eventually suit,” said Kent. “She’s not dour, she’s got a turn of foot.”
