With Your Blessing primed for Rosehill Sprint

With Your Blessing is set to resume his racing campaign at Rosehill this weekend, aiming to build on his impressive form from earlier in the year.

He lines up in the Schweppes Sprint (1100m), marking his first run since a narrow second-place finish in the Group 2 Liverpool City Cup (1300m) in March.

Trainer John Thompson says the six-year-old is on track for another shot at stakes success and has the Missile Stakes (1200m) on the radar if Saturday’s run goes to plan.

“He’s coming along nicely. He trialled super and seems to have come back just as well,” said Thompson. “If he wins this, we’ll likely target the Missile next month.”

The gelding has shown a liking for first-up runs, winning three of his eight fresh attempts, and Alysha Collett is set to continue her partnership from barrier seven.

“He’s proven in all conditions, which gives us plenty of confidence,” Thompson added. “He’s just a genuine horse who gives his best.”

The sprint field features notable opposition, including Corniche, Brudenell, and the consistent Storm The Ramparts.

The day’s feature, the Listed Winter Challenge (1500m), includes last-start winners like Robusto, Accredited, and Winter Stakes surprise packet Estadio Mestalla.
