Arctic Glamour upstages 2025 Hot Danish Stakes rivals
Arctic Glamour returned to the winner’s stall for the first time in more than two years, producing a determined display to claim the Group 2 Hot Danish Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill.
Her last win came when defeating Joliestar as a three-year-old — a result that suggested major upside.
“It’s taken time, but she’s back in form,” said co-trainer Sterling Alexiou.
“She’s had excuses, especially in the Missile Stakes, but we knew she still had this in her. The owners have been very patient.”
Arctic Glamour ($41) settled outside the speed and showed grit to fend off Bauhinia and Snow In May. The win completed a hat-trick for Tom Sherry on the day.
“She’s always had the ability — today she put it together,” Sherry said.
Key adjustments included blinkers and hurdle schooling to switch her back on.
“We wanted to sharpen her mentally,” Alexiou said. “It’s worked perfectly.”
The mare will likely press on to the Festival Stakes (1500m) instead of retirement.
