Guest House to chase the money in Magic Millions Victorian 2YO Classic 2025

After a polished trial win at Caulfield’s Heath track, Guest House is set to debut in Saturday’s Magic Millions Victorian 2YO Classic, with co-trainer Michael Kent Jnr buoyed by the colt’s progress.
The Home Affairs son, a $270,000 Magic Millions buy, outclassed his rivals by 1-1/2 lengths in last week’s 850m trial, prompting confidence ahead of the $250,000 feature.
“He’s got good talent, he’s a very speedy customer and we’ve done a lot of work on just getting him to harness his energy,” Kent said.
“From an outside draw he begun OK … but then he mustered quickly without overdoing it and relaxed well outside the leader. He showed good stamina to extend and win nicely.”
That trial also included Invincible Son, Sayalero and Oman, who all feature among the 13 nominations for the Classic.
Guest House was meant to debut months earlier in the Maribyrnong Trial Stakes but was scratched after back-to-back trials left the stable unhappy with the timing. A short break and jumpout win at Cranbourne followed.
Caulfield will also host the Magic Millions Victorian 3&4YO Classic, featuring the in-form Gin A Tonic chasing a hat-trick.
