Racing in the blood for Pearl Of Dubai ahead of 2026 Widden Stakes

Peter Snowden is confident Pearl Of Dubai has the talent to make her mark this autumn as she resumes in the Group 3 Widden Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill.
The filly impressed during her debut campaign when finishing second in the Kirkham Plate, having gone straight from the breakers into race preparation.
“She has always shown a bit in her work, and that was her very first preparation,” Snowden said.
“She came from the breakers straight in and went all the way to a trial and all the way to the races, which was terrific.”
A daughter of Wootton Bassett and a half-sister to Pride Of Dubai, Pearl Of Dubai boasts a pedigree that suggests further improvement.
Snowden believes Saturday’s assignment will provide a clearer guide to her future targets.
“She’s got good gate speed, so I’d say from that gate on Saturday she will be in the first four comfortably,” he said.
“She is a beautiful type and has such a good pedigree, you’ve got to give them the opportunity and that’s what we’re doing with her.
“She works well, she’s trialled well. Her first run was great so we will see what she can do on Saturday.”
The outcome of the Widden Stakes will determine whether the Golden Slipper or the Percy Sykes Stakes becomes her main target.
Those assessing the race can follow the latest racing betting markets in the lead-up to Saturday.
