Chris Waller unconcerned by rain forecast ahead of Verry Elleegant Stakes

Potential rain could bring an added layer of complexity to the Verry Elleegant Stakes, but Chris Waller, the trainer, plans to ignore weather updates until Saturday morning.
Expectations from the Bureau of Meteorology indicate varied precipitation for the week ahead, ranging from 4mm to approximately 60mm.
Top mare and heavy favourite Autumn Glow has succeeded across diverse track types, notably on a heavy 10 in the Toy Show Quality (1100m) back in August, although her ability to replicate that at Group 1 standard is still in question.
For the moment, Waller refuses to let track state occupy his thoughts.
"I'll worry about it Saturday morning," Waller said.
"If you worry about it before then, you start bringing things in that you have no control over and you can lose sight of other things. Yes, it's a factor. But as long as it's safe, she will be running.
"They've got the tracks in Sydney pretty good at the moment . . . There will be room for a bit of rain."
Autumn Glow, racing's current phenomenon, is perfect from nine appearances, transitioning effortlessly into weight-for-age grade by overcoming yardmates Aeliana and Lindermann in the recent Apollo Stakes (1400m).
The pair are set to challenge her again in Saturday's Group 1 Verry Elleegant Stakes (1600m) at Randwick, where the extra distance should suit them better.
"They're a bit more comfortable at the distance," Waller said.
"But it's hard to quantify, Autumn Glow might be better too."
With seven victories in the past decade of the race - four courtesy of Winx between 2016 and 2019 - Waller is fancied to strike again via Autumn Glow, who leads betting at $1.30.
