Peter Moody team seeks additional elite win at Rosehill

Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman's yard intends to capitalise on their fresh Group 1 achievement with yet another three-year-old filly appearing at Rosehill.

Following Sheza Alibi's triumph in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) on Saturday, it's the opportunity for stablemate three-year-old Ole Dancer in the Coolmore Classic (1500m) at Rosehill come Saturday.

This Group 1 Coolmore Classic caters to fillies and mares exclusively, and Ole Dancer enters her third start of the preparation.

The filly who captured the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield last spring has completed two starts since her break.

Resuming at Flemington on February 14, she gave chase to Sass Appeal, later winner of the Kewney Stakes at Flemington last weekend, before placing third to Tempted in the Group 1 Surround Stakes (1400m) at Randwick two weeks subsequently.

According to Moody, Ole Dancer has shown solid improvement post her Randwick run and trialled impressively under Coleman's watch in Sydney at the weekend.

"She stayed up there and has done well," Moody said.

"Sheza Alibi just likes the home environment a bit more, whereas Ole Dancer, you could park her in an apartment somewhere and it wouldn't bother her.

"Katherine's been up there and is really pleased with how she is.

"Zac Lloyd rides her on Saturday as Trumby (Luke Nolen) can't make the weight."

Ole Dancer stuck around Sydney after her debut clockwise effort, whereas Moody transported Sheza Alibi back to Pakenham for personal supervision.

The trainer is aware of the rigorous campaign Sheza Alibi endured across 11 months and prefers a rest before advancing deep into autumn.

"She probably has one more if she pulls up alright, but if she doesn't, she'll go to the paddock," Moody said.

"The fact that we are bringing her home, she won't run again within three weeks, because it would be too hard to make two trips in two weeks, but I'm mindful she was in work 11 months last year.

"That was why I wanted to run her in the Australian Guineas and then maybe have one or two runs in Sydney before she spelled."

For the Coolmore Classic on Saturday, entries total 16 fillies and mares, such as Cinsault aiming for a fourth straight win this term, Arctic Glamour, Jenni The Fox, Manaal, Savvy Hallie and Verona Rose.
