True warrior to continue Sensational run in 2026 John Dillon Stakes

Zou Sensation shows no signs of slowing as he prepares for another assignment at Caulfield on Saturday.
The six-year-old has been in work for more than a year, yet continues to thrive under the care of trainers Leon and Troy Corstens and Will Larkin.
After closing out 2025 with a win in the Listed Kensington Stakes (1400m), Zou Sensation now tackles the Listed John Dillon Stakes (1400m) at a venue that has suited him well.
“We can’t fault him,” Larkin said.
“If there were any faults from his last start to now, he’d be in the paddock but the true warrior that he is, he keeps copping everything we throw at him and he came through the run really well.
“His gallop work has been super and he was nice and fresh down at the beach this week.
“I can’t see why he can’t hold the form.”
The gelding has firmed notably in betting since markets opened, with Jamie Melham retaining the ride despite the 59kg impost.
“He just loves his racing and we just keep things simple with him sending him up the farm between runs,” Larkin said.
“I think he can carry the weight.”
The stable will also be represented by Superlicious, who lines up in the Remembering Ted Ryan (1400m) as she builds fitness.
Larkin believes the mare is ready to run well despite a tricky draw.
“She is definitely ready to go,” he said.
“She’s been tested in good races and has run well without a lot of luck. Hopefully things go her way this time.”
Those following the John Dillon Stakes can review the latest online bookmakers before Saturday’s meeting.
