Treasurethe Moment happy before two-hit 2026 Autumn Racing Carnival campaign

Posted by RS NewsWire at 5:38pm on January 25th

Matt Laurie is delighted with the way Treasurethe Moment has returned as the star mare prepares to launch her autumn campaign.

The four-year-old enjoyed an outstanding previous preparation, highlighted by wins in the Group 1 VRC Oaks, Vinery Stud Stakes and Australian Oaks.

She also proved competitive against elite opposition in the Cox Plate and Champions Mile before being spelled.

Treasurethe Moment will step out in a jump-out later this week, with further trials to follow ahead of her return to racing.

“We are happy with her preparation so far,” Laurie said.

“She will have another trial after this one as well leading into the Futurity Stakes.

“She’s a horse that comes to hand quickly and she’s feeling really good.”

The Group 1 Futurity Stakes (1400m) is the planned starting point, a race that suits her given her strong first-up record.

Laurie added that her preparation has been carefully managed after several demanding campaigns.

“She is a super clean winded filly and after such big preparations it was important to give her time,” he said.

Treasurethe Moment is listed at $4 in early markets for the Group 1 All-Star Mile, just behind favourite Ceowulf.

Punters following her return can monitor the latest racing betting markets as the autumn carnival builds.
