Rawiller barred by weight from Weeping Woman in Triscay Stakes

Nash Rawiller earns acclaim for daring race tactics and powerful closing efforts, cementing his status as an elite rider.
According to trainer Joe Pride, precise assessment of horses merits inclusion among his strengths.
Over recent seasons, the combination has thrived, particularly via standout sprinter Eduardo, prompting Pride to heed Rawiller's insights carefully.
Essential to the progress of budding sprint mare Weeping Woman, Rawiller won't be on her for Saturday's Triscay Stakes (1200m) owing to her minimal weight, yet his post-trial comments continue to echo for Pride.
"Nash got off her the other day after her trial and he said, 'I wouldn't be surprised if she graduates to being a Group One horse at some point, this mare'," Pride relayed.
"I was a bit taken aback because I didn't have her as that, but I have found over the years he is a bloody good judge, Nash."
Since securing the Listed Razor Sharp Handicap (1200m) in December, Weeping Woman retains sharpness from that spell.
Stablemate and durable stayer Coal Crusher also resumes via the Expressway Stakes (1200m).
Two years back, he was runner-up to King Of Sparta in that race, and now confronts elite mares including Group 1 winners Joliestar and Lady Shenandoah this Saturday; Pride concedes the field's potency surprises him despite its size.
"This is a ripper of a version," Pride said.
"He's going to be a big price because everybody doesn't think he's got the class of the others, but I have kept him up to the mark.
He had a good hit-out in a trial the other day and went really well. I think he'll run a cheeky race, and he'll get out and scoot."
Chad Schofield takes the mount on Coal Crusher, the $15 second elect in a field of six, as Tim Clark pilots favourite Weeping Woman at $4.40.
