Third win has Decorum on track for Rosehill Guineas

The lightly campaigned three-year-old Decorum boasts three victories from four appearances, opening doors to a tilt at the Group One Rosehill Guineas.
As the $1.65 favourite under trainer Michael Freedman, the colt extended his return-to-racing success from Warwick Farm this month with a tough effort to win the Hyland Race Colours Handicap (1600m) there on Wednesday, collaring Lancelot Du Lac ($2.80) right on the line by half a length.
Being a full brother to 2024 Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Switzerland, Decorum seems better suited to extended trips unlike his quick-type relative, but jockey Tommy Berry, who partnered him to victory, detects matching talent.
"I just can't wait to get him to 2000 (metres). He feels like he's looking for that sort of ground," Berry said.
"There is definitely a good race in him. I'm just not sure which one it is."
The colt has nominations lodged for key autumn carnival fixtures, encompassing the Randwick Guineas and Rosehill Guineas.
Attica, the Spring Champion Stakes winner set to return in the Hobartville Stakes on Saturday at Randwick, leads the market for both races, with Berry drawing comparisons to Decorum.
In truth, Attica edged Decorum in their mutual debut at Warwick Farm the previous year, before advancing to Group 1 glory three runs afterwards.
"Not that I've ridden Attica, but I've seen plenty of him, he reminds me a little bit of him a 'prep' ago, so he's a prep behind him," Berry said.
"He's one of those horses, he's a real working class horse and when the penny drops, which probably won't be until the spring, he's just going to keep going the way he's going.
"The Randwick Guineas might be a little bit sharp for him, but you've probably got to go there on your way to a Rosehill Guineas."
Decorum's effort stood out as potentially the meeting's finest, but Nash Rawiller claimed top jockey honours via a hat-trick in the first three races.
On the replacement ride Satirically from Tulloch Lodge in race one, he followed up with wins on Anthony and Sam Freedman runner Wolf Gap and John O'Shea and Tom Charlton charge Straand Beauty.
