Sheza Alibi in good order heading to Doncaster Mile

Confirmation for Sheza Alibi in the Doncaster Mile came just days after her Randwick Guineas victory, but co-trainer Katherine Coleman has observed nothing afterwards to doubt the filly's suitability.
This three-year-old is expected to head the market as a short-priced favourite in Saturday's $4 million Group 1 race at 1600m on Randwick's track.
With a significant gallop still to undertake this week at Pakenham come Tuesday morning, Coleman indicated smooth sailing ever since the filly's March 7 domination in the Randwick Guineas.
"We've definitely been very happy with her since she came home from Sydney after winning up there," Coleman, who trains in partnership with Peter Moody, said.
"She just hasn't missed a beat and she seems like she's really bounced through that.
"Her trial was super, she wasn't asked for much of an effort and it didn't take much out of her.
"She seems very bright and well within herself, so she will have a nice gallop on Tuesday morning in preparation for the Doncaster and then head up to Sydney later in the week, all being well."
The decision to run in the Doncaster Mile from Moody and Coleman waited until post the 1600m Group 1 Randwick Guineas, after Sheza Alibi settled back at Pakenham.
The Saxon Warrior daughter has been kept race-ready with a dominant 1000m jumpout success at Pakenham on March 24.
Jamie Melham was on board for the jumpout and retains the ride for Sheza Alibi at 49kg over the weekend, targeting a fifth straight win.
Her Randwick Guineas success built on a prior Group 2 Angus Armanasco Stakes (1400m) win, after Group 3 The Vanity (1400m) and Group 2 Sandown Guineas (1600m) triumphs last spring.
The filly is lining up to be the shortest Doncaster Mile favourite since Winx at $1.80 a decade ago, sitting at $2 all-in early Monday.
