Caulfield stakes test awaits prepared Buggsy

Ahead of his Caulfield commitment, trainers Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr have schooled Buggsy to race with greater composure.
This Harry Angel colt claimed a dominant 1000m triumph at Sandown on debut last month and lines up in the Listed Redoute's Choice Stakes (1200m) this Saturday for run two.
With four weeks between appearances, the Cranbourne pair has emphasised making Buggsy more amenable.
On debut at Sandown, Buggsy set the pace before quickening effectively, and now Price and Kent Jnr hope the colt adapts well to the 1200m trip.
The debut success indicated a horse with potential yet to fully mature, according to Kent Jnr.
Kent Jnr portrayed Buggsy as an energetic colt learning track routines, anticipating this will show in races.
"He looked like a sitting duck at the top of the straight (on debut) and what we found was that he was as strong as anything past the line," Kent Jnr said.
"I think he'll really enjoy the tempo of 1200 metres as he'll be able to travel a bit longer.
"He's had a four-and-a-half-week gap, so we've given him a couple of gallops sitting off a mate where he has leant to be a bit more tractable.
"He's also had a couple of longer gallops where he has got into the groove of finding his rhythm and finishing off his gallop.
"We're really happy with him and I think he'll give a great sight."
Craig Williams rode Buggsy first up, but Thomas Stockdale steps in for this outing.
The colt fetched $300,000 at last October's Inglis Ready To Run Sale and might build on his stable's juvenile achievements this term, including Guest House in the Group 1 Golden Slipper at Rosehill recently.
