Morphettville return suits Tosen Water after skipping Flemington

With the Carnival now gone, Nichole Searle anticipates a potential triumph for Tosen Water upon racing's comeback to Morphettville's Parks track this coming Saturday.
The veteran six-year-old mare seeks to outperform her previous couple of outings in the $65,000 Sportsbet Fast Form BM74 Handicap.
Daughter of Tosen Stardom, she was accepted at Flemington, yet Searle and training associates husband Gary and Brianna Callanan chose proximity to Gawler and see the 1300m distance as perfect timing in her preparation.
Her most recent runner-up finish to Dobbinair in the $105,000 State Sprint Series Final on May 2 succeeded an ill-fated three-quarters-of-a-length second against Clarance on April 18, per Searle.
"She's a super-consistent mare, she probably should have gone close two starts back had the horse inside her not rolled off the rail," Searle said.
"So, she's doing really well. Her work was really nice on Tuesday morning and she's come through both those runs really well.
"It looks a nice race for her."
Boasting six wins across 34 starts, Tosen Water featured Teagan Voorham in her last two mounts, but this weekend premier jockey from last year Rochelle Milnes steps up, as Voorham commits to stable companion Sir Kingsford in the Listed Andrew Ramsden at Flemington.
Barrier eight in a 14-horse lineup for Milnes and Tosen Water, and Searle wouldn't mind the predicted Adelaide downpour arriving beforehand.
"We're going to get a lot of rain over the weekend apparently here, which will benefit her because she likes a wet track too," she said.
"Barrier eight is probably a nice gate for her and Rochelle's on her. Rochelle knows her well, she's won on her and been placed, so fingers crossed she can keep her consistent form up."
In Saturday's betting, Tosen Water is quoted at $7, with Bouncing Beyond, fresh off a Morphettville success, the market elect.
